BUT, I played the “improved” endings. You know, the endings that should have been in there 112 days ago when the game came out. Yeah. It didn’t improve the situation to me, but it made what they meant more clear.
Honestly, I don’t know why they didn’t have that stuff WHEN THEY SHIPPED THE GAME. Seriously. The added animations were a plus, and the explanations were nice. Although it felt like the fans were reaching through Shepard herself and stopping and goin “HEY WAIT, WHAT? WHY? HOW WOULD THAT WORK, STARCHILD?? EXPLAIN YOURSELF!” Which made me laugh.
And the addition of the flash of Thane for a second made me so happy. (Would have been happier if they allowed us to save him, but yeah, it’s not “all your dreams come true expansion”.)
The changes did deepen the differences in the 3 endings though (and they added a 4th! Probably because so many people were like “MY SHEPARD WOULD NEVER TAKE THOSE CHOICES!”) and I have to say, I’m sticking with Control (because of the room for stuff and junk in the future) but the new Synthesis ending made me tear up because of what EDI said. (Almost makes me feel selfish choosing Control, but… whatever.)
All in all, ME3 was still a sore subject, but the added stuff made it worth it. (And bebe Krogans!! SRSLY.)
