So my new favorite thing to do is read Costco’s online descriptions of their lithographs for sale.

And then there’s this gem:

Although the artist who painted this oil is not well known, the history and tradition under which he painted this painting is universally very well known. Influenced by the great painters who had come before, perhaps this artists had dreams of being the next Monet or the next Matisse. Alas, that never came to be, and little would he have ever imagined that in the first part of the next century his quality painting would be offered for sale to millions of people in a gallery on Costco.com on something called the internet.
