i agree with you about all of this except

 I CAN IMAGINE HIM WAKING UP AND THERE’S LIKE 8 FLASHLIGHT HEADS AT THE END OF THE BED AND THEY’RE JUST LIKE DAD PLAY WITH US AND YOU CANNOT MOVE BECAUSE ROBOTS AND EDI SPENDS ALL DAY RUNNING DIAGNOSTICS AND HAVING PLAYTIME CONSENSUS AND SHE AND OLD CAT LADY JAMES EMAIL EACH OTHER STORIES ABOUT THEIR PETS SHE PROBABLY WOULD ADOPT A REAPER IF SHE COULD AND NOW JOKER’S SORRY HE EVVER BITCHED ABOUT SHEP COLLECTING SCARY ALIENS THAT WAS NOTHING NOTHING COMPARED TO EDI’S FRIGATE FOR LOST ROBOTS
